Battling Lymphoma

Ask me anything   What is Hodgkin Lymphoma?   Resources   Other Young Adults Like YOU With Hodgkin Lymphoma

My name is Kayla. I am 21 years old and I created this blog to document my journey. I was recently diagnosed with a type of cancer; Hodgkin Lymphoma (stage II). My course of treatment for the next 4-6 months will be chemotherapy. Although Hodgkin Lymphoma has a very good prognosis - it is still very frightening to be diagnosed with a serious illness. Hopefully my blog will help others fighting this disease as well as the family members and friends who support them :)

Things I am Thankful For

Today was my first day of being “back” so to say from the nightmarish state of discomfort I’ve been in since chemo last Tuesday. Although I wasn’t 100% today, I definitely felt better than I have in days and for that I am very thankful! Here is a list of the little things that I am thankful for when I start to feel better.

I am thankful for:

~The ability to stay awake for a whole television show and/or movie

~Having actual cravings for food insteadĀ of meal time feeling like a chore

~Wanting to go outside and get fresh air

~Feeling the need to talk to other people instead of keep to myself

~Having the energy to put on make-up! : )
